There are plenty of hotels in Waikiki that will get you/you can use those precious hotel points.
For a cost effective option (that also has a full kitchen) there is the Aston Waikiki Sunset. Kasey's mom, Katina, lived in these condos when she went to University of Hawaii and is where the family stays when going to Waikiki.
Airbnb
Airbnbs/VRBOs are very hard to come by on Oahu due to legislation limiting short term rentals. They do have some, but most have a 1 month minimum, so please ensure you are reading the fine print.
